***Please note that this is just a general price list of common repairs we do. We are a full service repair shop and perform a wide range of repairs so this is not an extensive list. This is also not an estimate for your specific repair but to only give you a general idea of what the repair may cost. Estimates will be given upon inspection of instrument in person. No instrument repair estimates will be given over the phone, text or social media platform.***

Lead time is usually 1-2 weeks for most repairs. More extensive repairs may take longer. 

Please bring your instrument in a case or gigbag!!!

If additional repairs are found to be needed while the instrument is in our care, you will be notified and asked to approve before additional work is completed.

Our bench string brand is GHS. If you prefer a different brand, feel free to let me know. I may have them or can get them for you.

Restrings, setup and general maintenance

Restring– $20.

Basic guitar or electric bass setup– $80. String action set at the nut and saddle, truss rod adjusted, hardware tightened and cleaned, frets polished, fingerboard cleaned and oiled, fit bridge pins if needed, intonation set, and instrument is cleaned and restrung. **Bone or ebony bridge pins are available for purchase**

Complete guitar or electric bass setup– $180. Includes setup plus fret leveling, crown and polish. (A deluxe setup is highly recommend to ensure there’s no fret buzz and the instrument plays at its best.)

Mandolin Setup- $100.. String action set at the nut and bridge, Check bridge fit, truss rod adjusted, hardware tightened, frets polished, fingerboard cleaned and oiled, intonation set, overtone mute is installed if needed and instrument is cleaned and restrung. Complete setup add $100

Install new mandolin or archtop bridge- $60 plus setup. Bridge not included. The bridge is fitted to the top of the instrument. 

Banjo setup- $100. String action set at the nut and 5th string nut, truss rod adjusted, hardware tightened, head tension adjusted, coordinator rods adjusted, frets polished, fingerboard cleaned and oiled, intonation set and instrument is cleaned and restrung. Complete setup add $100

Install bone 5th string nut- $25

Banjo head install/setup/polish-$200, new head included. Disassemble  the banjo, polish hardware, install new head and setup. 

Install banjo spikes- $15 per spike. Spikes included.

Replace tuning machines- $40 plus the cost of the machines. **Does not include finish touch-up if it is needed**

Install strap button- $10

Fretwork and neck repairs 

Fret level and dress: $120. Frets are leveled, recrowned and polished. 

Partial re-fret– cost of fret level/dress plus $15 per fret. **Sometimes requires a new nut, Add $80 if needed. Will not perform if the remaining frets have been leveled and dressed before, and are below a specific height.**

Full re-fret- $360. Old frets are removed, fingerboard is leveled and new frets are installed/leveled/crowned/polished. Usually requires a new nut. If new nut is needed add $80. Finished fingerboards quoted upon inspection. Gold Evo frets (if available), add $40. Stainless steel frets, add $100

Scuff sand the neck- $60. Gives a glossy neck finish, a satiny feel and appearance.

Speed sand the neck– $100. Remove all the finish from the neck making the neck smooth and easier to slide on. Wood is stained if requested and sealed with a finishing oil.

Dovetail neck reset– $500+. Remove neck and readjust neck angle. Usually requires a re-fret. Add $300 if re-fret is needed.

Bolt on neck reset- Quoted upon inspection

Broken headstock repair- Priced upon inspection only.

Nuts and saddles

Bone nut– $100, plus setup, material included. Custom bone nut made by hand from customer’s choice of bleached or unbleached bone. Mandolin or 12 string add $20.

Bone saddle for acoustic– $60, plus setup, material included. Custom bone saddle from customer’s choice of bleached or unbleached bone. **Compensated saddle, add $20. Long saddle add $20.**

Acoustic guitar nut/saddle/setup combo- $200 material included. Add fret level and dressing for $100

Fill nut slot- $20. Fill a nut slot with bone or ebony dust that is too low and causing string buzz. If multiple slots are low and causing string buzz it is best to just replace the nut.

Structural repairs and upgrades

Bridge re-glue– $150+. Remove lifting bridge, remove finished under the bridge if applicable, re-glue bridge and fit bridge pins.

Custom acoustic bridge– $250+, custom bone saddle included. Remove the old bridge and replace it with a custom bridge, made in house. Ebony or rosewood depending on the wood of the existing bridge. 

Slot acoustic bridge– $60. Plus the cost of the new pins. Slot the bridge pin holes and refit with un-slotted bone or ebony bridge pins.

Cracked bridge repair– $40+. Repair minor cracks in an acoustic bridge. If cracks are too severe, replacement of the bridge is recommended.

Bridge shave-$80 plus setup. Shaving the top of the bridge to create a lower action and break angle. ***Will only perform this on less expensive guitars where a neck reset is not a viable option.***

Re-cut saddle slot– $120. Fill in an incorrectly placed saddle slot and re-cut another one to correct intonation.

­Repair worn bridge plate– Fill a cracked or worn bridge plate. Priced upon inspection if repair is possible.

Replace bridge plate– $300+. Replace a broken or worn out bridge plate that cannot be repaired.

Install acoustic pickup– $80+ plus cost of the pickup. Price varies by type of pickup and the difficulty of installation.

Crack repair- $40+. Close the crack and cleats are installed on the inside to prevent the crack from opening again.

Loose guitar brace repair (Still attached)– $40 per brace.

Loose guitar brace repair (Detached)- $100 per brace.

Loose mandolin tonebar repair (still attached)- $80

Scoop mandolin fingerboard extension- $100

Binding separation repair- $60+. If finish repair is needed, it will be quoted upon inspection.
